Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. It is SkyTowner' policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you across our website, https://www.skytowner.com, and other sites we own and operate.

Your continued use of our website will be regarded as acceptance of our practices around privacy and personal information, and our terms and conditions. If you have any questions about how we handle user data and personal information, feel free to contact us at support@skytowner.com.

Data we collect

I. Basic User Profile

When you sign up to SkyTowner, you can optionally indicate basic profile information such as display name, biography, e-mail and interests.

II. Messages

When users leave messages, such as comments and feedbacks, on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

III. User's Audio for Voice Search

SkyTowner uses Chrome's official Web Speech API for its voice search functionality. By default, you will be prompted with an alert box asking for your permission to record audio when performing voice search for the first time on SkyTowner. If permission is granted, then the audio data is externally sent to and parsed by Google's servers. SkyTowner merely uses the transcribed audio to perform in-site search, and does not store the audio data.

IV. Analytics

As you use this Website, we use automatic data collection technology (Google Analytics) to collect certain information about your device, browsing actions, and patterns. This generally includes information about where you are, how you use our website, and any communications between your computer and this site. Among other things, we will collect data about the type of computer you use, your Internet connection, your IP address, your operating system, and your browser type. We collect this data for statistical purposes and we don’t collect personal information. The purpose of this data is to improve our Website and offerings.

Google has developed the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on; if you want to opt out of Google Analytics, you can download and install the add-on for your web browser here.

V. Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information. Cookies are files with small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. Tracking technologies also used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze our Service. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you would not be able to use a significant portion of our Service.

Use of Data

We may de-identify or anonymize your Personal Information so that you are not individually identified, and provide that information to our partners and/or affiliate organizations. We also may combine your de-identified information with that of other users to create aggregate de-identified data that may be disclosed to third parties who may use such information to understand how often and in what ways people use our services, so that they can provide you with an optimal online experience. However, we never disclose aggregate information to a partner in a manner that would identify you personally, as an individual.

I. Advertisers

We may allow advertisers and/or merchant partners (“Advertisers”) to choose the demographic information of users who will see their advertisements and/or promotional offers and you agree that we may provide any of the information we have collected from you in non-personally identifiable form to an Advertiser, in order for that Advertiser to select the appropriate audience for those advertisements and/or offers. For example, we might use the fact you are located in San Francisco to show you ads or offers for San Francisco businesses, but we will not tell such businesses who you are. Note that if an advertiser asks us to show an ad to a certain audience or audience segment and you respond to that ad, the advertiser may conclude that you fit the description of the audience they were trying to reach.

II. Affiliates

In certain situations, businesses or third party websites we’re affiliated with may sell or provide products or services to you through or in connection with the Services (either alone or jointly with us). You can recognize when an affiliated business is associated with such a transaction or service, and we will share your Personal Information with that affiliated business only to the extent that it is related to such transaction or service. One such service may include the ability for you to automatically transmit Third Party Account Information to your Services profile or to automatically transmit information in your Services profile to your third party account. We have no control over the policies and practices of third party websites or businesses as to privacy or anything else, so if you choose to take part in any transaction or service relating to an affiliated website or business, please review all such business’ or websites’ policies.

III. Business Transfer

We may choose to buy or sell assets. In these types of transactions, customer information is typically one of the business assets that would be transferred. Also, if we (or our assets) are acquired, or if we go out of business, enter bankruptcy, or go through some other change of control, Personal Information could be one of the assets transferred to or acquired by a third party.

Protection of SkyTowner and Others

We reserve the right to access, read, preserve, and disclose any information that we believe is necessary to comply with the law, or in response to a court order or subpoena; enforce or apply our Terms of Useand other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of SkyTowner, our employees, our users, or others.
