Given an empty table called info
generated with the below code:
CREATE TABLE info (name VARCHAR(20), age INT, hobby VARCHAR(20));
Inserting rows
To add a row for 'alex'
:
INSERT INTO info (name, age, hobby) VALUES ('alex', 30, 'Programming');
Query OK, 1 row affected (0.01 sec)
To add two more rows for 'bob'
and 'cathy'
:
INSERT INTO info (name, age, hobby) VALUES ('bob', 15, 'Programming');
Query OK, 1 row affected (0.00 sec)
INSERT INTO info (name, age, hobby) VALUES ('cathy', 20, 'Swimming');
Query OK, 1 row affected (0.01 sec)
Checking the inserted rows
To check that three rows have been added to table info
:
SELECT * FROM info;
