Python's file.read() method reads a file object's contents and returns it as a string or bytes object.
Parameters
1. size | number | optional
The number of characters (text mode) or bytes (binary mode) to read from the file. Defaults to read entire file.
Return value
String (text mode) or bytes object (binary mode) of file contents.
Examples
To create a file object f and then read it:
        
        
            
                
                
                    f = open("sample.txt", "r")# Content of file is just the string "sample"print(f.read())sample
                
            
            sample
        
    Size parameter
To only read 2 characters from the file:
        
        
            
                
                
                    f = open("sample.txt", "r")# Content of file is just the string "sample"print(f.read(2))sa
                
            
            sa
