To randomly select n columns from a DataFrame, use the DataFrame's sample(~) method.

Examples

Consider the following DataFrame:

df = pd.DataFrame({"A":[2,3],"B":[4,5],"C":[6,7],"D":[8,9]})
df
A B C D
0 2 4 6 8
1 3 5 7 9

To get 2 columns randomly from df:

df.sample(n=2, axis=1)
D B
0 8 4
1 9 5

Note that a new copy is returned, that is, modifying the returned DataFrame will not mutate the source DataFrame.
