It is possible to remove a database in MySQL if it exists using the following syntax:
DROP DATABASE IF EXISTS database_name;
Where:
database_name
refers to the name of the database that we would like to remove.
WARNING
When you remove a database, all the tables, indexes and columns associated with that database are also removed, hence this action should be performed with the utmost care.
