MySQL's BIN(~) method returns a string representation of the binary (base 2 format) of the input number.
Parameters
1. N | integer
The number to return the binary string for.
Return value
The binary string representation of the input number.
Examples
To return binary string representation of 35:
SELECT BIN(35);
+---------+| BIN(35) |+---------+| 100011 |+---------+
To return binary string representation of -35 (case of 64 bit machine):
SELECT BIN(-35);
+------------------------------------------------------------------+| BIN(-35) |+------------------------------------------------------------------+| 1111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111011101 |+------------------------------------------------------------------+
