Panda's DataFrame.iat
property is used to access or update a single value in the DataFrame using integer syntax.
Examples
Consider the following DataFrame:
df = pd.DataFrame({"A":[3,4], "B":[5,6]}, index=["a","b"])df
A Ba 3 5b 4 6
Accessing a value
To access the value residing at row 0
, column 1
:
df.iat[0,1]
5
Setting a value
To set the value at row 0
, column 1
:
df.iat[0,1] = 9df
A Ba 3 9b 4 6
