Pandas DataFrame.add_prefix(~) prepends the specified string to each column label of the DataFrame.
Parameters
1. prefix | string
The string to prepend to each column label.
Return Value
A new DataFrame with the specified prefix prepended to the column labels.
Examples
Consider the following DataFrame:
df = pd.DataFrame({"A":[1,2], "B":[3,4]})df
A B0 1 31 2 4
To add "C" before each column label:
df.add_prefix("C")
CA CB0 1 31 2 4
Note that the original df is left intact since add_prefix(~) creates a new DataFrame.
