Python's chr(~)
method returns the corresponding character for the provided Unicode code point.
Parameters
1. i
| integer
The integer representing the Unicode code point of the character to return. The valid range is 0
- 1114111
.
Return value
The string character corresponding to the input Unicode code point.
Examples
Basic usage
To return the character string for Unicode code point 287
:
chr(287)
'ğ'
ValueError
To return the character string for Unicode code point 1114112
:
chr(1114112)
ValueError: chr() arg not in range(0x110000)
As the provided Unicode code point is outside the valid range, ValueError
is returned.
