To save a Pandas DataFrame as a CSV file, use the DataFrame's to_csv(~) method.
NOTE
This method has 19 parameters. We will cover the basic usage here, but check out the our full documentation for a more in-depth coverage.
Examples
Consider the following DataFrame:
df = pd.DataFrame({"A":[3,4], "B":[5,6]}, index=["a","b"])df
A Ba 3 5b 4 6
To save df as a CSV file:
df.to_csv(path_or_buf="my_data")
The outputted file my_data, which is located in the same directory as the Python script, is as follows:
,A,Ba,3,5b,4,6
To get rid of the comma in the front, set index_label=False like so:
df.to_csv(path_or_buf="my_data", index_label=False)
Now, the outputted file is as follows:
A,Ba,3,5b,4,6
