In Beautiful Soup, the clear method removes the inner content of a tag, while keeping the tag itself.

Examples

Consider the following HTML document:

my_html = "<p>A cat sat on a mat.</p>"
soup = BeautifulSoup(my_html)

To delete the inner content of the p tag:

p_tag = soup.find("p")
p_tag.clear()
p_tag
