Just like the strings property, the stripped_strings returns the inner text of an element. The difference is that stripped_strings omits lines that consist of just empty spaces, and also removes leading and trailing spaces.

Examples

Consider the following HTML document:

my_html = """
   <div>
      <p>I like tea.</p>
      <p>I like soup.</p>
   </div>
"""
soup = BeautifulSoup(my_html)

To get the stripped inner text of the div:

for string in soup.find("div").stripped_strings:
   print(string)
I like tea.
I like soup.

On a side note, the strings property would have returned the following:

for string in soup.find("div").strings:
   print(string)
I like tea.
I like soup.

Notice how we end up with a whole bunch of spaces.
