MySQL's MAKEDATE(~)
method creates a date based on the provided year and day of year.
Parameters
1. year
| number
The year for the date to be made.
2. dayofyear
| number
The day of year for the date to be made.
Return value
A date YYYY-MM-DD
based on the provided year and day of year.
Examples
To create a date based on the 75th day of 2020:
SELECT MAKEDATE(2020, 75);
+--------------------+| MAKEDATE(2020, 75) |+--------------------+| 2020-03-15 |+--------------------+
To create a date based on the 400th day of 2020:
SELECT MAKEDATE(2020, 400);
+---------------------+| MAKEDATE(2020, 400) |+---------------------+| 2021-02-03 |+---------------------+
To create a date based on 0 day of year:
SELECT MAKEDATE(2020, 0);
+-------------------+| MAKEDATE(2020, 0) |+-------------------+| NULL |+-------------------+
Note that NULL
is returned for dayofyear=0
.
