MySQL's COT(~) method computes the cotangent of the input value in radians.

Parameters

1. X | radians

Number given in radians.

Return value

The cotangent of the input number.

Examples

To return the cotangent for π / 2:

SELECT COT(PI() / 2);
+-----------------------+
| COT(PI() / 2) |
+-----------------------+

+-----------------------+

To return the largest integer smaller than or equal to cotangent for π / 2:

SELECT FLOOR(COT(PI() / 2));
