Numpy's item(~) method returns a specific element of the source array as a scalar.

Parameters

1. arg | None or int or tuple of int

The allowed types are as follows:

Type	Meaning
None	The source array must be of size one, and returns that element as a scalar.
int	The index of the element to return as a scalar using the flattened version of the array.
tuple of int	The index of the element to return as a scalar.

Return value

A scalar representation of a specific element in the source array.
