Numpy's tile(~)
method returns a new Numpy array by repeating the input array by the specified number of times.
Parameters
1. a
| array-like
The input array.
2. reps
| array-like
The desired number of times to repeat a
.
Return value
If a
is a scalar, then a scalar is returned. Otherwise, a Numpy array is returned.
Examples
Basic usage
np.tile([3,4], 2)
array([3, 4, 3, 4])
np.tile([5,6], [2,3])
array([[5, 6, 5, 6, 5, 6], [5, 6, 5, 6, 5, 6]])
Here, we've repeated the array [5,6]
two times row-wise, three times in column-wise.
